Fashion is more than the color of the season or the length of a skirt; fashion is a way to spread ideas, concepts, philosophies, and zeitgeist. Par en Par is a new take on resort wear, but not in the literal sense– it’s resort as a state of mind, something we can control in our day to day.

orking in the sustainable fashion space lends itself to a great deal of intentionality when it comes to the “hows” of our production: Where was it made? Who made it? What materials were used?
Yet a less explored and arguably just as important question stands: Why do you wear it? What does it say about you? What’s the occasion?
We often present clothing as singular occasion must-haves– the little black dress for your night out. The sheer cover-up for the beach. The blazer for the office.
Yet fashion is more than the color of the season or the length of a skirt; fashion is a way to spread ideas, concepts, philosophies, and zeitgeist.
Today’s brand feature is showcasing a label that is artfully amplifying the mindset of that comes with dressing for a certain occasion. The focus? Travel.
With travel, that mindset means the ability to live with both intention and flexibility.
How do we translate the ethos of travel into the everyday? Par en Par is a new take on resort wear. While travel is an increasingly integral part of our lives, the clothing that comes with it has not evolved and integrated into our wardrobes. Par en Par is inspired by the modern traveler and the duality of relaxation and effort.
So, resort wear— but not in the literal sense. The backdrop for Par en Par’s launch collection’s five purposeful pieces isn’t necessarily the Maldives or Bora Bora.
The idea of “resort” is not rooted in a state of escape. Rather, it can be captured as a state of mind– something we can control in our day to day.
For Par en Par, this state of mind is tied to an understanding of what we need to thrive: Less.
The five pieces of the launch collection are defined by easy shapes and sustainable fabrics, each piece is consciously created with versatility in mind. From the Cala Slip Dress to the Tie Waist Culottes, engaging with this collection is more than the latest must-have or fit of the season. It’s engaging with larger questions of “conscious living” as a lifestyle of intention.
And as all conscious labels should, labor & environmental sustainability are also tended to in the process of creation. Par en Par is deeply rooted in materiality.
Before designing each collection, we carefully consider our fabrics — where they come from, their impact on the earth — and source them from artisans committed to craftsmanship and sustainability. The label works with artisans from a cooperative in Kerala which specializes in organic cotton textile weaved entirely by hand. For their textile packaging, Par en Par partners with Projecthrive, a socially conscious initiative committed to female employment and empowerment.
The ethos of Par en Par is simple: create with intention.

Fashion is more than the color of the season or the length of a skirt; fashion is a way to spread ideas, concepts, philosophies, and zeitgeist.

Par en Par is resort wear, reimagined. While travel is an increasingly integral part of our lives, the clothing that comes with it has not evolved and integrated into our wardrobes. Par en Par is inspired by the modern traveler and the duality of relaxation and effort.

The Cala Slip Dress
This minimally designed slip dress is double-layered at the bodice for extra coverage. The organic, handwoven cotton from India lends an instantly airy feel to the piece, while the easy, adjustable straps make layering with a sweater — or over jeans — a breeze.
Tie-Waist Culottes
These comfortable tie-waist culottes are ̎inished with an easy elastic waist (perfect for slipping over any one-piece) and organic handwoven cotton from India. Consider double-wrapping the self-belt, then tucking the ties for a cleaner, more minimal waistband.
Slim Pareo
The versatile detail. Inspired by the endlessly wrappable pareo, this slender version comes in breathable, handwoven cotton from India. I love it wrapped as a belt to streamline looser silhouettes, knotted as a bandeau top, or tucked as a head wrap.
The Playa Robe
An essential layer; this utilitarian robe in organic, handwoven cotton provides just enough warmth for the plane and easily slips over any outfit. The detachable belt can be cinched at the waist for a sleeker effect or tucked as a head wrap or slim scarf with other outfits.
